Default Turning a hobby into a business

I've been running a site as a hobby for a while, and I'm going to turn it into a business full time using a scheme ran by the local job center (all money you earn goes back into the business, but you are allowed to claim benefit while running the business). You get a qualified advisor who has ran a business before helping and supporting you for 6 months while you get the business off the ground.

I'm quite daunted, but excited at the moment. Just finished a training course, and now writing my business plan....

Has anyone done anything similar to this? How did it work out.

I know some people who actually turned their business into their hobby. They took a job and started loving it so hard they just did it as their hobby It's really nice to like your job

What was their job / hobby?

They're very lucky to be doing something they enjoy

For example, my dad started to work as someone who sells cars. He works a lot because he loves it and believe me, he could sell you a car in no time.

You need to love your job, otherwise you should just quit and get a new job

That isn't impossible. Since you are a painter, you must have a creative mind! Maybe you can search for something that combines both of the things. You could make some very exclusive pieces of art.

Making a hobby into a business does not mean that it has to be full time. You can work at it as much or as little as you want to and if it goes well, then make it full time.
